Maria received a Masters of Social Work from New York University in 1995. From there she joined the Air Force and served as a mental health therapist for overseas military members and their families. After completing three years, she returned state-side and was employed in various outpatient mental health clinics in New York City. Maria relocated to Williamsport, PA in 2001 to accept employment as a therapist for a community mental health clinic. In 2008, Maria began nursing school. She graduated as an RN in 2010 and has been a psychiatric and medical surgical nurse since. Maria’s nursing skills allow her to provide insight into medical disorders and a deeper understanding of the effect of medical issues on the mental health. Maria’s goal is to be able to provide patients with the support, information and ongoing care they need. Clinical areas of experience include depression, anxiety, phobias, PTSD, grief issues including loss of pets, personality disorders, family conflict, parenting, adjustment disorders and patients with medical complications.
