LCSW

Russell (Russ) is an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006. Russ has a warm empathetic style and incorporates several treatment approaches which are person centered, humanistic and strength-based. Russ sees his clients as the expert of their own lives, and assists and guides them through inner knowing, interpersonal changes and healing. Russ brings years of experience working with adults 18+ and has also worked with young adults with DBT informed treatment. Russ brings vast experience working with addiction, co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, grief and trauma, and works collaboratively with his clients. Russ works with very diverse populations including LGBTQIA+ and tries to make it easy for people to open up and become vulnerable as they explore who they are. Russ is experienced and knowledgeable in supporting the diversity in the LGBTQIA+ community, while he is also cognizant of his lived experience as a cisgender gay male. Russ uses warmth, humor and sensitivity and brings an understanding and unique perspective to create a non-judgmental space for you to reflect and explore what matters most to you. Russ believes people want and need to be listened to, and he creates a safe supportive environment in which people can find comfort. Russ holds space and supports you in healing old wounds and transforming patterns that lead you to feel stuck and overwhelmed. Therapy can be one of the most illuminating and empowering experiences, and Russ brings his whole authentic self to his therapy sessions.
